Latest New Airport Amenity in 2013

In the sky, hassles abound as airlines squeeze in more seats on their planes and tack on more fees for checking baggage, changing flight plans and using other services. On the ground, it's a rosier story. Airports are steadily upgrading their facilities and adding amenities that offer passengers more enjoyable experiences that can make the time spent waiting for a flight the best part of the trip. As we close out 2013, here are some of the best of airport amenities rolled out this past year. Automated passport kiosks You can't really enjoy your time at an airport unless you can get into the airport, and this year we've seen wait times at customs significantly reduced at a handful of North American airports that have installed automated passport kiosks. U.S. citizens can use these machines – for free – to scan their passports, answer customs declarations questions and cut short the time they need to spend in conversation with a customs officer. The first machines were installed in May at Vancouver International Airport. In August, Chicago's O'Hare International Airport became the first U.S. airport to roll out the kiosks. Since then, the wait-reducing machines have been introduced at New York JFK International Airport (Terminal 4), Miami International Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Montreal-Trudeau International Airport and, on Dec. 4, at Toronto Pearson International Airport. My Opinion.... Kiosks are great but damn technology can get really annoying if you don't know what you are doing. And if you want to talk to someone. Well the machine is not doing too much for being a live person.

Death? No one knows?

The only way you really know what happens after you die is "if" you have faith, or do you?

Heres an article I found.

Question: "What happens after death?"

Answer: Within the Christian faith, there is a significant amount of confusion regarding what happens after death. Some hold that after death, everyone “sleeps” until the final judgment, after which everyone will be sent to heaven or hell. Others believe that at the moment of death, people are instantly judged and sent to their eternal destinations. Still others claim that when people die, their souls/spirits are sent to a “temporary” heaven or hell, to await the final resurrection, the final judgment, and then the finality of their eternal destination. So, what exactly does the Bible say happens after death?

First, for the believer in Jesus Christ, the Bible tells us that after death believers’ souls/spirits are taken to heaven, because their sins are forgiven by having received Christ as Savior (John 3:16, 18, 36). For believers, death is to be “away from the body and at home with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:6-8; Philippians 1:23). However, passages such as 1 Corinthians 15:50-54 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 describe believers being resurrected and given glorified bodies. If believers go to be with Christ immediately after death, what is the purpose of this resurrection? It seems that while the souls/spirits of believers go to be with Christ immediately after death, the physical body remains in the grave “sleeping.” At the resurrection of believers, the physical body is resurrected, glorified, and then reunited with the soul/spirit. This reunited and glorified body-soul-spirit will be the possession of believers for eternity in the new heavens and new earth (Revelation 21-22).

Second, for those who do not receive Jesus Christ as Savior, death means everlasting punishment. However, similar to the destiny of believers, unbelievers also seem to be sent immediately to a temporary holding place, to await their final resurrection, judgment, and eternal destiny. Luke 16:22-23 describes a rich man being tormented immediately after death. Revelation 20:11-15 describes all the unbelieving dead being resurrected, judged at the great white throne, and then being cast into the lake of fire. Unbelievers, then, are not sent to hell (the lake of fire) immediately after death, but rather are in a temporary realm of judgment and condemnation. However, even though unbelievers are not instantly sent to the lake of fire, their immediate fate after death is not a pleasant one. The rich man cried out, “I am in agony in this fire” (Luke 16:24).

Therefore, after death, a person resides in a “temporary” heaven or hell. After this temporary realm, at the final resurrection, a person’s eternal destiny will not change. The precise “location” of that eternal destiny is what changes. Believers will ultimately be granted entrance into the new heavens and new earth (Revelation 21:1). Unbelievers will ultimately be sent to the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15). These are the final, eternal destinations of all people—based entirely on whether or not they had trusted Jesus Christ alone for salvation (Matthew 25:46; John 3:36).

Clayre's Pool Fence Fund

So anyone know of someone that drowned? A baby drowned? and child drowned? I will tell you a story one of that has to do with my myself.

When I was 9years old, and I was playing with my friend, she was younger than I. It was our first summer in las vegas. In the heat, 100 degress, we were playing with water buckets. We ran out of water. Running through the bushes around these houses. This one house had no gate around there pool. My friend thought it would be cool to go fill our water buckets up. Not! we did, while we did, she fell in. I had to jump to grab her. We jumped out and went home. My mother was there and was wondering why I was all wet. Awful me! I was not a good lier. Had to tell her. We went and told the neighbors. Boy was that a mistake! Grumpy man he was. my mothers mention maybe it was a good idea he stick a gate around a pool, all he had was bushes around the pool, it hid very well. my mom called the health dept. and a few weeks later we heard him pounded away with the gate.

My friend recently lost he first child, named Clarye. Just like any pool drowning accident, in can happen anytime. Her mother Brianna and her family had set up a foundation called "Clayre Foundation" or "Clayre Pool Fence Fund" Currently in Clark County older homes with pools built before 2003 are NOT REQUIRED TO BE EQUIPPED
WITH barriers or alarms. However, all new pools constructed since that time, do require the minimum of installation of a door alarm. One problem that we face, is that some families choose to disable their alarm because it is annoying and somewhat of a nuisance. Unfortunately, many innocent lives have already been lost this year,
and more will be lost without your help and support.

OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL THE VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES!
We set up this foundation to try to prevent other families from going through the loss of their precious child.

Crate Training Your Cat

Pet Lovers: How to Crate-Train Your Cat
Taking care of a cat can both be a rewarding and frustrating experience.

The rewarding part is coming home to a cute, furry little creature whose antics can bring a smile to your face. The frustrating part is trying to house-train and litter train them.

You can get over the frustrating part by starting them young.

Once you have a kitten that you plan to take home as a pet, you may start house-training them. Crate training is one of the most effective ways to do this.

Cats can be your best friend for life if you just care for them properly.

If you will train them at a young age, they will learn to follow "house rules" and not litter on your bed or scratch your furniture with their claws.

A cat needs proper care, time and attention. Here are some tips on how you can use crate-training work to your advantage:

1. Remember that crate training will take some time.

You need all the time and patience that you can muster as a cat owner to fully train a cat. This is why you have to start out while they are young.

Familiarize them with what they can and cannot do using the crate.

If you take your cat along with you when you travel and you are in a place where pets are not allowed to roam around freely, put them in a crate.

This would let your cat know that being outside is not that safe, so your pet will be content to stay inside the crate.

2. Select the perfect crate for your feline friend.

There are some materials that cats love to scratch with their claws. This would make the time that they spend in the crate more bearable despite being confined.

There are metal and plastic crates that your cat can fit into. Make sure that it can move freely when inside. Also, you can put your cat's favorite toy in the crate, like a ball of yarn or a small stuffed toy.

3. Crate-train your pet cat slowly, but surely.

Start by spending time with them while inside the crate. Then you can introduce your cat to eating food inside the crate. Do not worry if they do not respond positively the first time, as they will get used to it eventually.

Later on, they will learn to spend time in the crate when you are not at home or during the night.

The key here is to not let your cat feel frustrated inside the crate and spend enough time with them to make them feel loved and cared for.

Kirsty Alley's New Show

Kirstie Alley is ready to shed some light -- and pounds -- on her life in her new reality show, officially announced by A&E Friday morning.

Kirstie Alley's Big Life premieres March 21 at 10 p.m. with back-to-back episodes, says the network in a statement.

Check out photos of stars who are sick of hearing fat jokes about themselves

Says Alley, "This show has been cathartic for me...shown me who I really am...again... and it's really freaking funny."

Alley's fluctuating curves have been a hot topic. She famously dropped 75 pounds on Jenny Craig and flaunted her bathing suit body on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2006.

But late last year, she returned to Winfrey's show to confess that she'd gained back 85 pounds, and weighed more than 200 pounds.

"It's humiliating," she told Winfrey. "The most painful thing for me is that I have all these people that I inspired and then I let them down."

In addition to chronicling her weight loss battle on TV, the show will also feature her "producing a feature film, patenting multiple inventions, working hard to raise two normal Hollywood teenagers, True and Lillie [her adopted sons with ex Parker Stevenson], taking care of eight ringtail lemurs, and on top of everything, looking for love -- nothing like a little pressure," according to the release.

Go for a walk
Walking is both free and romantic. A brisk walk is good for the heart and soul. Breathe in the fresh air and enjoy mother nature hand-in-hand.

Go for a bike ride, either in your community or take a trail ride with mountain bikes. Take water and snacks, and take time to rest and talk. Enjoy the journey, rather than focusing on a destination.

Make a couple of pans of brownies. Then drive to various friends' houses and deliver a small plate of brownies to each friend and visit for a while. When it becomes too late to be visiting people, go home and finish off the brownies.

Baby-sit for a young couple so they can have a night out alone. Prepare a few games to play with the kids.

Go to the park and feed the birds. Take a bag of bread. Share childhood memories.

On a sunny Saturday morning, travel around the countryside and photograph special sites and serene scenery.

Go to a free concert in mall, school, church, or civic center. Check your local paper's entertainment section.

Go for a walk together either in a crowded city or alone in the country.

Go to a local animal shelter and play with the animals. Maybe you'll find a new friend together!

Find a muddy area, dress in your grubbies and have a mud fight. For groups, take along a rope for a tug-of-war. You might bring towels or sheets to put on the car seats for the ride back home.

Locate a large piece of cardboard. This can be found at a nearby furniture or appliance store. Curve the end up like a toboggan. Find a sloping hill of dry grass and slide down. Wear older clothes (grass stains can ruin nice clothes).

Want to perform a unique deed for someone? Go to a self-serve gas station and do all the work for the surprised customers. Make sure to get permission from the gas station attendant first.

Attend church functions together. Dances, discussion groups, and church meetings really help couples grow closer to each other.

Ask for help with your homework, delivering a note worded in the vocabulary unique to that subject (it might make sense to make sure he/she knows the subject).

Attend a concert in a smaller, more intimate setting. You can watch a show by a performer who has been around for a long time. They have staying power primarily because they are entertaining.

Buy two cheap canvases and paint with toll paints or do finger painting and design a picture for one another. Choose something that describes yourself or something you appreciate about each other.

Build a fire, snuggle up, and read a good book or perhaps romantic poetry together. Make up some hot chocolate or spiced cider to enhance the evening.

Take a picnic lunch and go to a lake to feed the ducks.

After an amazing steak dinner, complimented by a beverage of your choice, head for a private hot tub. Set out candles and soft music for the perfect touch.

Plan a weekend trip somewhere close, even if it's only an hour or two away. Call ahead to the hotel and have your dinner waiting in the room, along with flowers and dessert.

Select a dinner from the cookbook you have never tried. Shop for the ingredients and prepare dinner together. To add ambience, choose a type of cuisine and add decorations or dress to enhance the atmosphere.

Send flowers. Try adding a note or a poem. For greater impact, find a way to secretly add flowers to the vase every day, and include a secret note each time.

Deliver a valentines gift to your friend's house, then take your valentine to another couple's house for dessert (make arrangements beforehand).

Take your partner out for a day at the spa. Give each other his and her robes. Treat each other to couples massages. Also make sure you don't forget to make a visit to the steam room and the jacuzzi.

Make a recording of all the loves songs you both like and play it while relaxing in front of a glowing fire (or while driving in the countryside).

Take your honey on a carriage ride around town. If it's cold, bring a blanket and some hot chocolate. Bring a camera and ask your driver to take a picture.

Rent a boat or borrow one from a friend and cruise the lake or ocean and then have a candle light dinner.

Have a backwards dinner (start with dessert, then a main course, then salad, then soup, and finish with an appetizer).

Collect old magazines and cut out pictures that bring back memories of times you've shared together. Compile them in a scrapbook, and nurture the desire to spend time developing future memories.

Create a trail of candy from her door step, to her car, and have balloons tied to her car door handle, and antennae. Also tie balloons up in random places that she'll see on her way to work.

First plan a scavenger hunt. Write clues on note cards telling him/her where to go. Place the clues in the places around the community. Have a friend or relative give him/her the first clue. The final clue leads your date to a restaurant (be waiting at the table with flowers).

If the weather is unpleasant, set up a picnic in the living room. Plan an elegant meal, complete with good plates, fine linens, silverware, and a nice blanket. Add candles and music to enhance the mood. Don't be afraid to try a new recipe.

Finger paint portraits of each other or find a picture to copy. Wear grubby clothes or provide a smock to protect your clothes. After you clean up, feed each other fresh fruit. Even better, some chocolate covered strawberries.

Organize a candlelight breakfast. Either buy the ingredients of your partner's favorite breakfast or order take out from a local restaurant.

Blindfold your date from the very beginning. Put her in the car and when you get to the restaurant, help her sit down. Have a nice romantic candlelight dinner waiting for her along with some roses with personal note.

Prepare three envelopes (each with a different date). Your date first chooses one of the three envelopes. She can opt to accept that date, or trade it in for one of the remaining two envelopes, which could be more or less desirable. Be prepared to go out immediately.

Enjoy a nice romantic comedy alone. Remember the strawberries and cream.

Go dancing down by the riverfront, lake, or ocean with a small radio and dance until the sun goes down.

Stay home and cook your favorite meal together for a quiet dinner at home.

Pack a picnic dinner and head out of the city at dinner time (away from the bright lights). Spend time looking at the stars and talking about dreams.

Go to your local Party Store and rent a helium tank good for around 75 balloons. Buy at least 8 dozen balloons. Go home and blow them up in the bedroom. Don’t forget to leave at least 2-3 dozen (without helium) for the floor and bed. Set up some candles and fresh flowers for the room. Then get your favorite board game and set it up on the bed. And cut up some fresh fruit to snack on.
